Three Days Adventure Tour of Imereti (Kutaisi)
Private Tour Introduction:
On our three days private tour in Imereti we will visit all the famous sites of the region, including: the 2nd biggest city of Georgia Kutaisi, Gelati Academy from 12th century, Motsameta Monastery, Bagrati Cathedral from 10th century, we will see Sataplia and Prometheus Caves and Jurassic Park; will explore Martvili Canyon. On the las day we will drive towards the mining town of Chiatura, in upper Imereti, on the way we will stop to see Katskhi Pillar, will take ride in century old rusty cable cars and arrive in Tbilisi later in the evening.

Tour Highlights:
We will start the tour in the morning, picking you up from our hotel and drive towards Kutaisi, on the arrival we will have lunch and begin to explore the area by visiting Gelati Academy, which was founded by the King David the Builder in XII century; then will drive to Motsameta Monastery complex of VIII-XI centuries. From there we will go to see Bagrati Cathedral of X century and have nice view of the city from the top. Will walk to the streets of old Kutaisi and explore the area in the evening. Will stay overnight in Kutaisi.
Next morning we will drive to Sataplia and Prometheus Caves. In Sataplia you will see millions of years old footprints of dinosaurs, see a nice heart-shaped stalagmite. On our 1.5 km walk in mysterious and cool atmosphere of Prometheus Cave you can observe stalactites, stalagmites, underground river and lakes and take a short boat trip if interested. Continue to Martvili Canyons, enjoy beautiful nature. Will return back to Kutaisi for overnight stay.
In the last day, after breakfast we will go to visit Upper Imereti, we will stop at most notable sight on the way Katskhi Pillar, the symbol of this region. From there we will go to mining town of Chiatura. Chiatura is famous for its picturesque landscape and Soviet era cable cars, which despite its rusty and ageing appearance, is one of the most incredible engineering spectacles of the world.
We will return back to Tbilisi later in the evening and drop you off at your hotel.
